Mens suits have long been a personal expression of who you are. Let's face it, we can't all be mens suit models. If you are short and stocky, the same thing will apply. Try to stay away from long jacket mens suits and stick to the more classic cut 2 button or 3 button suits because they will be more flattering and the style that simply works for your body type. For casual events, mens leisure suits also look good on most people.

Double breasted mens suits work more often than not on men who are either slim in stature or taller than average because the double breasted style works better because of how the jacket drapes on the wearer and the broader look of the shoulder itself lending an almost V like look in the silhouette. If you are a stocky man this style should not be on your shopping list if you want to look your very best.

Now if you're average size and stature, Your best bet will also be a 2 button suit or 3 button style but as of late, the 2-button style has become a bit more popular because it has a slimming effect which just looks better than the 3 button style mens suit.
